Broken Garage Door Springs
Your torsion springs might be broken if your garage door is stuck down and won’t open. Cables
Because they are constantly in motion, steel garage door cables can wear out and become frayed. To open and close the doors, the torsion springs wind or unwind the lift cables. If your garage door is not opening or closing properly, check the cables first. This can quickly become a safety hazard if the cables are frayed or broken so avoid moving the door. Balance

Rollers & Bearings
When your garage door opens and closes, does it make a lot of noise? If so, that might mean that the rollers are wearing out. Check to see if the rollers wobble or move when the door moves. If they do this means the bearings inside the roller could be either broken or even altogether missing. To replace your rollers or bearings and to have your door operate quietly, consider replacing the steel rollers with smooth and durable nylon.
